The scientific methods are based on the technique of sperm fertilization. Sperm fertilization is done through techniques used in infertility treatments like in-vitro fertilization and artificial insemination. These methods are used worldwide under the observation of trained medical practitioners.

In-vitro fertilization is based on stimulation of ovaries by using fertility drugs. When stimulated, these ovaries produce more eggs. The eggs are removed from the ovary and are placed in a Petri dish in order to be fertilized with a sperm. After the egg has been fertilized, it is place back inside the uterus.

Artificial insemination also involves the direct insertion of a concentrated sperm into the uterus. The sperm contains the chromosomes of the desired sex. The process then results in getting a baby of the desired sex.

It results in the formation of a fertilized embryo which is then tested for gender. The embryo is then placed back into the uterus. It has produced 100 percent results.

Then there are the methods of microsort and ericsson which involve separation of sperms tend to produce boys and sperms that tend to produce a girl. The desired sperm is placed into the uterus.

The natural methods are also very popular. There are only two major methods known. They are the Shettels method and Whelan method.

The Shettels method and the Whelan method stresses on having intercourse on certain days of the month. They follow a theory that an intercourse close to your ovulation has a better chance of producing a boy and an intercourse 3 days or more before ovulation has a better chance of producing a girl.
